New Nokia N9 will come with NFC, but many people doesn't know how will that work exactly? Let's start.


NFC – or Near Field Communication –  is a technology that enables the transfer of data over a short distance, typically between 4cm or less. So, we’re talking about touching your phone against another to send or receive files.
The Nokia N9 isn't the first Nokia phone that comes with that option.  The Nokia C7 also has the hardware on-board for this feature to work.


The Nokia N9 will have the ability to pair with other NFC devices, such as the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-505, or various NFC enabled photo frames.
You can even send your contact if other phone equipped with NFC isn't manufactured by Nokia. There are also some NFC-enabled games, such as Angry Birds Free with Magic.


Sending photos from your Nokia N9 is performed in the same way as contact sharing, however only videos filmed from the Nokia N9 can be shared. Meaning any other videos you may have will have to be transferred using alternative methods.
There will be upgrades to the NFC features that will come via future software updates. These will add the ability to send documents of various types and URLs from your phone to another.

The Nokia 600 will be driven by 1Ghz fast processor and sports a 3.2 inch AMOLED Display. The Nokia N600 Cindy sports a 5MP camera for high quality video playback and recording, Music Player, Speakers, FM Radio, document viewer and comes with integrated Social Networking Applications.

Nokia 600 Cindy 1GHz Smartphone phone is leaked. The Nokia 600 is codenamed Cindy and will be an entertaining device targeted to youths.

The Nokia 600 Cindy have support to Instant messaging and NFC. Full specifications and official launch of this product is yet to be revealed.

Nokia has big plans to raise its Series 40 handsets for matching them with mainstream 1GHz processor-bearing smartphones. South African blog Excellular managed to capture blurry images of a Nokia 600 handset codenamed Cindy that features Symbian Anna user interface. Nokia 600 Cindy seems to have a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display and may eventually get launched as Nokia N6.

According to the specifications leaked to Thai website FlashFly, Nokia 600 Cindy will have a 1 GHz processor and 5 megapixel camera.

The device will also come with a Near Field Communication (NFC) chip and built-in FM radio. Some apps, such as Skype, Shazam, YouTube, F-Secure, Vlingo and PDF reader will come pre-installed on the handset.

It is expected that the handset will support 3Gnetworks and will be attractively priced — targeting the youth.

No official word on the brand name or model number of the leaked device has been announced. Considering the state of the leak and the device, you may expect this handset to show up by the end of this year or maybe early next year.

Sony Ericsson Announces Xperia Neo V, Android 2.3.4 Update for Xperia (VIDEO)

Sony Ericsson announced today that their 2011 Xperia smartphones will be receiving Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread updates starting in October. The update will include Google Talk with Video Chat, updated Facebook inside Xperia functionality, support for USB peripherals, swipe text input, and the ability to take screenshots. Another cool feature is the 3D sweep panorama technology. It allows images to be captured and then viewed in 3D by connecting the phone to a 3D TV using the HDMI output. That’s pretty cool for 3D TV owners.
Today’s announcement from Sony Ericsson also includes the Xperia Neo V which will be hitting shelves in Q4 of this year. The Neo V will launch with the 2.3.4 update already on board and will be showing off a Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine. Inside the Neo V is packing a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon, a 2GB microSD card (supports up to 32GB), 720p video recording, and a 1500 mAh Battery. Outside you’ll find it rocking the colors white, blue gradient, and silver. I’ll be honest, Sony Ericsson hasn’t really hit my excitement radar as far as their smartphones are concerned. One-Click Root for Stock Gingerbread (Droid X, Droid 3, Droid X2, Cliq and Cliq 2) [From the Forums]

Earlier today we reported XDA forum member dirbliss had successfully rooted the Motorola DROID 3. Now, thanks to Framework43, krazykrivda, and psouza4 over at rootzwiki, we have an uber simple one-click root method for stock Gingerbread. I have tested this out on my Droid X running 4.5.602 and everything went flawlessly. As per P3Droid, this method should work on the Droid 3, Droid X, Droid X2, Cliq and Cliq 2. Here’s how it goes down, but proceed at your own risk:

• Motorola drivers need to be installed – 32bit here and 64bit here
• Download and unzip ‘Droid 3 easy root script v7′ to your PC  from here
• Turn on USB debugging on your phone by going to Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging(check box)
• Plug phone into your computer and select “Charge Only” mode
• Navigate to ‘Droid 3 easy root’ folder and run ‘Click to root your Droid 3.bat’
• Now just follow the instructions in the command window and unlock the phone after each reboot

The UK says the Motorola Atrix 4G is not the most powerful smartphone in the world

Since January Motorola has been telling us that the Atrix 4G  is the world’s most powerful smartphone. The US Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) disagrees. Apparently they received some complaints, and they have come to the conclusion that since the Samsung Galaxy S II has a faster processor, the Motorola claim might be misleading.
Motorola feels that the power of the Atrix is more about its abilities and combined features rather than just the processor. The ASA has not changed their stance and they will only allow the ad to be shown without the phrase.
