IPHONE 5 MALAYSIA: THE RELEASE
It is rumoured that the new generation of Apple iPhone – the iPhone 5, will hit stores as early as mid of this year.
According to various rumours and leaks, Apple iPhone 5 features the following specifications:
- Thinner than iPhone 4, with shiny glass back piece (9.3 mm thickness)
- Video chat on 3G and 4G and no longer restricted to WiFi
- Face Time over 3G and 4G
- Custom SMS tones
- Features a variety of email alerts and notification; can assign alerts for different emails.
- Sleek design with an OLED screen
- Wireless sync with iTunes
- iPhone 5 memory: 32G and 64G memory
- NFC technology: With such a technology, iPhone 5 will have extremely high data transfer rate between two devices.
- Facial recognition: iPhone 5 can be unlocked and after recognising its owner, it will begin to function.
- Advanced antenna: Antenna problems with iPhone 4 is completely worked out in iPhone 5.
- iPhone 5 camera: iPhone 5 will have a megapixel camera equipped with a Omnivision OV8820 sensor that records full HD video with a capped recording time of 25 to 30 seconds.
- Battery backup: iPhone 5 comes with an awesome battery that exceeds the life of the 3G by 14 hours – 7 hours over 4G, which makes it perfect for heavy use.
- iPhone 5 screen size: 3.7 to 4 inches (scratch- and shatter-proof)
- iPhone 5 processor: 1.2GHz Dual Core
- 3 versions: One is the regular iPhone 5 that includes all of the specifications as listed, the second will have a sliding qwerty physical keyboard, and the last will be an iPhone 5 mini with a smaller screen, fewer features and a lower price.
When asked why iPhone 5 is only released in September 2011 to the advantage of competitor Android, co-founder and chief executive officer of Apple, Steve Job hinted a June release.
But does that confirm anything? No.
Other sources have it that iPhone 5 is expected to be released in the US in June 2011. As for iPhone 5 Malaysian release date, analysts say Malaysian users will have to wait until September 2011.
Well, nothing is to be taken seriously until official information becomes available.
iPhone 5 Malaysia is expected to be a little cheaper compared to Iphones 2, 3, 3G, and 4.
Well, until official information is available, right now we can only have a rough idea or an estimation of iPhone 5′s features and performance.
